About CABI and TEAM

CABI is an international, inter-governmental, not-for-profit organization that improves people’s lives worldwide by providing information and applying scientific expertise to solve problems in agriculture and the environment.

Our approach involves putting information, skills and tools into people’s hands. CABI’s 50 member countries guide and influence our work which is delivered by scientific staff based in our global network of centres.

As part of our mission of providing information, CABI is a respected publisher of tourism research databases and books and has access to a huge network of internationally renowned experts. Our coverage includes: governance, planning, sustainability, climate change, special interest tourism and the management of growth. We also cover leisure, hospitality events and sport, and how all these industries relate to health, gender equality and the environment.

TEAM Tourism Consulting is a specialist international tourism consultancy which focuses exclusively on working for tourism destinations and attractions, across all aspects of destination development, management and marketing. TEAM has a team of 25+ consultants in the UK, Ireland and other countries across the world. Our consultants combine extensive experience as hands-on practitioners, managing destination operations, with many years of consultancy experience working for tourism-related organisations worldwide.

The scope of our work focuses on consultancy and training relating to: Strategy and Master Planning; Destination Marketing; Digital Strategy and Operations; Organisational Development; Market Analysis/Segmentation; Visitor Services; Business Tourism; Sustainability in Tourism; and Culture and Heritage Tourism.

TEAM has worked closely with the World Tourism Organisation since 1999, undertaking research and technical missions, organizing and speaking at conferences, and researching/ producing publications.  TEAM has produced nine publications for UNWTO and its partners.  TEAM has also worked extensively with other international tourism organisations, including the World Tourism Cities Federation, the European Travel Commission, European Cities Marketing, Pacific Asia Travel Association and Destinations International.
